A little bit of this and that from the Oregon high school sports scene.
11-Man
Carley Moore of Scappoose tacked on three more conversion kicks to her ever growing total Friday night as her Indian teammates upset the number one rated 4A team in the state, Central of Independence 29-18.
Moore, who has hit on 17 PAT’s in the Indians four straight victories, is just 10 behind the 27 that Oregon City’s Taylor Belmont rang up last season in establishing the all-time Oregon female high school record.
Tyler Cope of Jesuit is the Oregon record holder for conversions kicked, blasting 90 PAT’s through the goal post for the high scoring Crusaders in 2006.
Carson Kiesewetter of Marist kicked 79 PAT’s last year in the Spartans 14-0 championship season. Kiesewetter is back in the Marist fold this year and has a chance to topple Cope from the his spot at number one.

Streak Grows to 75 - Greg Grant’s Heppner High School football team ran their Oregon all-time league winning streak to 76 straight games, slipping past Enterprise 20-14 in the Blue Mountain Conference opener for both squads.
Heppner should be able to extend the streak his Friday vs Elgin (0-3).
Then it’s unbeaten Stanfield on the 8th of October. The Tigers are off to their best season in years, with a 4-0 ledger and have scored points at a 66 point per-game clip over the their last two outings.
Here’s how the state streak looks.

This Streak Grows to 90 - If our stats are right, Parkrose’s 54-6 loss to Wilsonville last Friday was the Broncos 90th league loss in a row.
Parkrose plays host to St. Helens, a 49-14 winner over Milwaukie last week, Friday evening.
Three times during the long streak Parkrose chose to be an independent - once in 2005 and again in 2008 and 2009.

Won’t Forget - Here’s a name you will not soon forget - Tell Cruickshank, a running back for the Pirates of Perrydale High School.
Cruickshank had back to back games in which he rushed for over 300 yards in each contest.
In a 44-32 loss to Elkton he totaled 307 yards and crossed the goal line 5 times.
In what was considered an upset, Perrydale ran all over Falls City 58-14, as Cruickshank scored 5 more touchdowns and tallied 313 yards on 25 totes.
I think I failed to mention that Cruickshank is just a freshman!

Slowed To A Crawl - In that same Perrydale-Falls City matchup, Falls City Thomas Castle was held to just 77 yards on 12 carries and a pair of TD’s.
A week earlier in a 62-34 home field victory over Butte Falls, Castle rushed for a near state record of 503 yards on 28 trips.
But the big news in Falls City, which is south of Dallas and west of Monmouth, was Castle’s 8-man state record 10 touchdowns.
Castle rushed for 8 touchdowns, returned a punt 70 yards for a score, took in a 46 yard pass from quarterback Stephen Reynolds for yet another tally. He ran one conversion in for two points and was credited with tackling a Butte Falls ball carrier in the endzone for a saftey.

Score 74 - Beaten by 45 - Lummi Nation High School, located on an island in the Pudget Sound just off Bellingham, WA. has the highest 8-man reported score so far this season.
The Blackhawks used a 57 point second quarter to send Wellpinit High School packing to the tune of 119-74, just minutes into the third period, due to the mercy rule.
