Perrydale survives mistakes and penalties to eliminate Echo in the first round of the 1A state playoffs.

In a very mistake and penalty prone first quarter, Perrydale scored first with a safety against Echo.

In the second quarter, the Pirate offense finally started to find it's groove, as WR Tyler Brown scored on a 17 yard pass from QB Daniel Lee, and RB Cody Comerford scored on a spectacular 60 yard TD run. Perrydale's defense was a brick wall in both the 1st & 2nd quarters, as Echo had an extremely tough time moving the ball in the first half. Pirates up 18-0 at the half.

In the 2nd half, Perrydale's RB Blake Barnes scored on a 29 yard TD run. Echo came right back on Mike Fisher's 44 yard TD run, to make the score 26-6 in the 3rd quarter.

In the 4th quarter, Pirate QB Daniel Lee scored on a brutal 12 yard run, as he put a shoulder down and flattened Echo's Jacob Eby at the 2 yard line and then dove in for the score. The Cougars again came back toward the end of the game with a good drive and a scoring run of 1 yard by Echo's Mike Fisher. After the ensuing kickoff, Perrydale quickly drove down the field and scored with just a few seconds left on Cody Comerford's 2 yard touchdown run.

Final score: Perrydale 38, Echo 12.

Perrydale (10-0) takes on Lowell (10-0) in the second round of the playoffs at Lowell. The Red Devils defeated Adrian 46-28.

Echo finished the season 6-4.
