It's week 9 and for most schools, this will be the last week of practice. However, there are a few, including just about every team listed below that should have an opprtunity to play on. Starting at the top, Jesuit's win over Westview moved them in to the BCS Championship game versus L.O. My toughest decision was who to put in the last BCS spot, South Medford, or Canby. In the end, I went with Canby. While both teams have won 3 straight, Canby has secured itself as the Pacific League Champion.

At the 5A level, I'm very comfortable putting Mt. View over Ashland in the BCS, unless Bend pulls out the win this weekend, then Ashland would slide in. However, If Sherwood blows the lid off of Glencoe, all bets are off.

In 4A, The field is stacked, particularly in the Capital Conference. I have zero compalints for putting Sisters in the BCS. McCaffrey is the best high school running back i have ever seen.

In 3A, Creswell's loss to Santiam Christian allowed Colton to slide in to one of the two "wildcard" spots. In addition, Vernonia's loss is Clatskanie's gain. Of course, The Loggers can make up for it by beating them next week.

A new bowl, in Coos Bay, allows for an even number of 1A 8-man footballers to play each other. This Bowl helps Lost River get in, as they were the last team to make the cut.

Finally, in 1A, road trips are breaking out, as folks like Imbler traveling nearly 300 miles to Wilsonville.

My final BCS standings will be coming out next week, then I'll be off to working on bracketology for basketball.
