Bill Cowell back in the saddle as GP hoops coach


The most successful boys basketball coach in Grants Pass High history is returning to the sidelines.

Bill Cowell, who led the Cavemen for 10 years from 1996 to 2006, was re-hired on Thursday. Cowell put together a 180-83 overall record during his tenure and led Grants Pass to the Sweet 16 of the Class 4A state playoffs seven years in a row.
