Scout released their Northwest Top 100 a few days ago, listing their version of the top 100 recruits from the Great Northwest. Here’s a list of the Oregonian’s who made the list, with some comments on the SWC/MWL/Sky-Em players listed.

6. Boseko Lokombo, LB (6-3/220/4.6) South Eugene

The highest ranked player in the state comes from our own South Eugene High. Lokombo has been blowing up the charts since the player evaluations started in the Spring, and is primed to have a monster senior year for the Axemen. Scout.com lists offers from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, and Boise State.

12. Charles Siddoway, OL (6-7/310/5.3) South Eugene

Siddoway has known offers from Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Cal, Washington, Boise State, and Portland State. With offers from up and down the West Coast, he’ll have quite the decision to make. Though he plays in Eugene, he grew up in Corvallis; if he stays close to home to play his college ball, which home will he stay close to?

18. Malcom Johnson, RB (6-1/185/4.5) Barlow — Commited to Boise State

22. William Hodgman, DT (6-4/319/5.2) Lakeridge

23. Taylor Hart, DE (6-6/246/4.9) Tualatin — Commited to Oregon

26. Mitch Mathews, WR (6-5/195/4.65) Southridge

48. Marcus Cueller, OT (6-6/295/5.4) Central

49. Gianni Carter, WR (6-2.5/198/4.55) Marist

Carter, Marist’s second offensive player in the top 50, has a quality blend of height and speed. Caught 65 balls for 805 yards and five scores while helping the Spartans to the 4A state championship as a junior. No known offers, according to Scout.

71. John Braun, OT (6-5/245/4.9) West Albany — Commited to Oregon State

73. Craig Loper, RB (5-10/180/4.4) Willamette

The uber productive Loper, who ran for 1,554 yards and 17 scores as a junior, up’d his stock by running a 4.40 40 yard dash during an evaluation. No known offers, but another big season — he’s been churning out yards for the Wolverine’s varsity since his sophomore year — should change that.

76. Blake Verhaalen, OG (6-4/270/5.0) Oregon City

81. Mitch Singler, WR (6-2.5/180/4.65) South Medford

Singler put up huge numbers in South Medford’s pass-happy offense as a junior, skyrocketing up the charts and putting him in position to play ball at the next level. South Medford needs to find a new quarterback for 2008, but Singler should still put up quality numbers.

85. Josh Hill, QB (5-11/185/4.5) Westview

86. Jack Lomax, QB (6-3/180/4.7) Lake Oswego

93. Dexter Morrison, DE (6-2/250/5.0) Centennial

94. Levi Levasa, QB (6-0/185/4.6) Tualatin

96. Zach Barge, OT (6-6/323/5.6) South Medford

Barge proved to be an excellent in both pass protection and run blocking as a junior, and returns to man the trenches.

98. Dustin Haines, QB (6-2.5/198/4.7) South Eugene

Haines transfered from Montana to help the Axemen first season post-Chris Miller, and put up big numbers on a poor team. South Eugene should be better this season as Haines pushes for offers from some smaller schools.
