3A State Tournament Saturday Morning, Burns and Creswell Win

Burns is up against Santiam Christian, Vale faces Creswell. These 4 teams didn't plan on playing in the Breakfast Bracket Saturday morning, they'd much rather be playing this evening.  However, here they are, lets see who can shake off yesterday's loss and come back to win 4th place today.

Game 1: Burns-SC, Burns takes it, 25-23. Burns had the lead 20-12, SC came back with 7 straight points before Burns finally won. Vale-Creswell, Creswell takes game one decisively, 25-11. Game 2: Again, Burns with a big lead, lets SC creep back into the game. Burns takes game 2, 25-20. Vale wins game 2. 26-24. They came back from a 21-15 score to steal game 2 from Creswell. Game 3: SC's looks strong to start this game, great kills by Woods and Dainiels plus a wall stuff block by freshman Sara Almen puts SC in the lead. 13-9.  On the other court, Vale is hanging point for point with Creswell even though Chandler Gabrio is hitting 100mph fastballs at em. Score 15-13 Creswell.

Burns-SC  Burns' Senior, Courtney Toney just crushes a down the line ball for Burns, sweet! Tayla Woods returns the favor. 20-19 Burns.  SC takes game 3, 26-24. Vale/Creswell, Vale's Shelby Mooney gets the kill and puts 25 points on the board for Vale, giving them Game 3, 25-21. Burns/VC, Jess Wheeler with the middle hit kill, again Woods returns the favor.  Jamie Higle with 3 tough serves puts Burns up. 10-7. Burns has 3 big hits by Wheeler, Toney and Zabala and they're all picked up by Tayla Woods in the backrow, rally ends wth Anna Wruck blocking Burns, great rally. 11-10 Burns. Nonnenmacher with the great serve! Time out SC. Burns leads 13-10. Freshman Maddye Dinsmore, Burns' libero. is all over the backcourt digging balls and putting them right up to the waiting setter, Jamie Higle. She's doing a great job for Burns. Wruck scores big for SC, Burns hitting error, Zabala crush. It's nice for Burns fans to see senior Ashley Schouviller in the game, she's been out with an injury the entire season and just cleared to play. We'll see her in Basketball this season!  Score 20-18 SC, 23-20 SC, timeout Burns. 23-22 timeout VC. Tied up! Courtney Toney crushes it! 24-23 Burns.  Burns wins game and match!! 25-23.

Vale/Creswell: Game 4: Score is 16-13, Vale's backrow play is giving Creswell fits. 19-15 Creswell. Creswell takes game 4, 25-17. Chelsie Joyce with 2 beautiful kills for Creswell, gives them the lead, 8-5.
